About This Class
Have you admired beautifully made pixel crochet afghans but felt intimidated by the charts — or all those ends to weave in? This class is the perfect place to start. You’ll learn how to read and create pixel graphs for crochet while using techniques that help minimize the number of ends you need to deal with.
Pixel crochet is a fantastic technique for beginners and experienced crocheters alike. If you know the double crochet stitch, you’re ready to jump in. It’s especially fun for creating designs inspired by Minecraft, Mario, Pokémon, and other pixel‑style motifs — and it’s also great for adding words or simple images to your projects.
Rachel will provide a variety of small practice patterns and demonstrate how different color‑changing methods affect your finished look. You’ll leave with new skills, new confidence, and plenty of inspiration for your next pixel project.
What We’ll Cover
- How to read and understand pixel crochet graphs
- How to create your own pixel designs
- Color‑changing techniques and how they affect your results
