About This Class
Learn how to use rulers to create beautiful quilt designs on your domestic sewing machine. Ruler work gives you the control and precision of longarm-style quilting right at home, helping you achieve clean, professional results even if you’re new to the technique.
What We’ll Cover
Spend the day with Debbie as you explore the fundamentals of quilting with rulers. You’ll begin with best practices for safe and accurate ruler use, then move into hands-on practice creating a variety of designs. A 30‑minute lunch break is included — please bring a bag lunch and a covered beverage.

This class needs a minimum of 5 students to run. If we’re below that number one week before class, the session may be cancelled. Early registration makes a big difference.

Debbie has been quilting for over 30 years and has spent the last 9 years mastering and teaching ruler work. With a strong foundation in traditional quilting techniques and years of hands-on experience with quilting rulers, she brings both precision and creativity to her classes.
Known for clear, approachable instruction, Debbie is passionate about helping quilters build confidence at their sewing machine and master ruler work in a way that feels achievable and enjoyable.
Her classes focus on building confidence, smooth technique, and that “I can’t believe I just did that!” moment.
