About This Class

Texture lovers, this one is for you. Join artist and instructor David Owen Hastings for a full day of modern quilt play as you build a small wall quilt bursting with layered stitching, tactile fabrics, and creative surface design. You’ll work within a limited palette to explore contrast, depth, and movement, discovering how simple materials can transform into a richly textured art piece. This workshop is hands‑on, approachable, and designed for all levels. Basic walking foot quilting knowledge is helpful, but not required. You’ll leave with a finished mini quilt and a head full of ideas for adding texture to every future project.

If you’re joining us for David’s second workshop, this class is a perfect warm‑up to keep the inspiration flowing.

What We’ll Cover
