In this hands‑on class, you’ll learn how to choose and handle rulers with confidence, stabilize and guide your movements for accuracy, and combine ruler work with free‑motion quilting to create dynamic, custom quilting designs. Whether you’re elevating your personal quilts or expanding your longarm services, this class gives you the tools to level up your precision and creativity.

Instructor
Cole Whitaker — QuiltCon 2024 Award Winner
Cole has been drawing, sewing, and designing since childhood, and his creative approach to quilting has earned national recognition—including a Second Place award for his Joy quilt at QuiltCon 2024. He specializes in pixel quilts, foundation paper‑piecing design, and both free‑motion and ruler‑work quilting on longarm and domestic machines. Cole brings a thoughtful, encouraging teaching style to every class and loves helping quilters build confidence through hands‑on exploration and skill‑building. He currently designs custom quilts and works as a professional longarmer.
