About This Class

Looking to expand your crochet skills or finally use that special skein you’ve been saving? Tunisian crochet is a wonderfully versatile technique that blends the look of knitting with the rhythm of crochet — and it uses less yarn than traditional crochet. In this introductory class, you’ll learn how Tunisian crochet works, what makes it unique, and how to get started with the stitches that form the foundation of nearly every Tunisian project.

Rachel will guide you through the different types of Tunisian hooks, how to choose the right one for your project, and how to build confidence with the core stitches. Whether you’re brand new to Tunisian crochet or simply curious about what it can do, this class will give you the skills to begin exploring a whole new world of texture and technique.

You’ll practice the foundational techniques needed to begin your Tunisian crochet journey.

  • Understanding Tunisian hook variations and their uses
  • Casting on for Tunisian crochet
  • The Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS)
