About This Class

Join internationally recognized instructor Nancy Chong and learn how to hand quilt your masterpiece with confidence and joy.
Whether you’ve just finished your first quilt top, have a stack waiting to be quilted, want to make a whole‑cloth quilt, or simply want to improve your hand‑quilting stitch, this technique‑focused class is for you.
Working on practice fabric in a hoop, you’ll learn the basic running stitch, the rocker method, and how to start and stop a quilting line. Nancy will also discuss fabric choices, batting, markers, thimbles, thread, needles, hoops, and frames.
Please bring a sack lunch and a covered beverage to stay hydrated throughout the day.

This class requires a minimum of 5 students to run. If we’re below that number one week before the start of class, the session may be cancelled. Early registration makes a big difference.

Nancy Chong
Nancy is an internationally recognized expert in hand appliqué, Hawaiian quilts, and hand quilting. She shares the secrets behind her beautifully smooth stitches and teaches students how to finish their quilts with confidence. After taking a class from her, many students discover that hand quilting is not only possible—but positively addicting.
