About This Class
National teacher Nancy Chong, celebrated for her hand‑appliqué expertise, also has a favorite machine‑pieced quilt she loves to share—and it’s all about speed and fun!
In this one‑day class, Nancy will show you her easy method for creating crumb quilt blocks. You won’t believe how simple (and quick!) they come together.
Bring your fabric stash or a theme you’ve been saving—holiday prints, florals, fat quarters, or anything you love—and start cutting and sewing right away. By the end of class, you’ll know exactly how to finish your quilt top with borders and all.
Beginners and experienced quilters alike will enjoy this fast, creative, and delightfully scrappy project.

This class requires a minimum of 5 students to run. If we’re below that number one week before the start of class, the session may be cancelled. Early registration makes a big difference.

Nancy Chong
Nancy is an internationally recognized expert in hand appliqué, Hawaiian quilts, and hand quilting—but she also adores the playful, improvisational world of crumb quilting. Her machine‑pieced crumb quilts range from holiday themes to art‑quilt styles, and several of her samples are on display at Quilting Mayhem. Nancy’s warm, encouraging teaching style helps quilters of all levels discover both confidence and joy in their creative process.
