About This Event

Quilting Mayhem is excited to host our first Crochet Along featuring Mindy and Rachel from Fiber Riot. You will make the Old Town Sweater by MJ’s Off The Hook Designs, a beginner friendly project shown in the photo.

Instruction is delivered through weekly YouTube videos so you can follow along at your own pace and revisit each part of the project whenever you need.

Live virtual Q and A sessions will be scheduled on set dates and announced soon.

Timeline Details

Now: Intro video that explains how the Crochet Along works
Oct 12: Welcome week covering yarn weight, hooks, gauge, sizing, color choices, and stitch tension
Oct 19: Week 1 covering set up round, round 2, and rounds 3 through 11
Oct 26: Week 2 covering the remainder of the body from round 12 through 66
Nov 3: Week 3 covering the start of the sleeves beginning with the right side
Nov 9: Week 4 covering the left sleeve and edging with shell stitch
Nov 16: Week 5 covering finishing, blocking, and sweater care
