Join Giuseppe Ribaudo — better known as Giucy Giuce — for a four‑day creative retreat featuring Cornichon, his brand‑new foundation paper piecing workshop inspired by the classic pickle dish quilt.

Cornichon is not a pattern — it’s an immersive technique‑driven experience built around Giuseppe’s innovative modular foundation paper piecing method. Each block you create is uniquely your own, giving you endless opportunities to explore color, shape, and composition. Over four days, you’ll dive deep into the structure of the design, learn how the modular units interact, and discover how small variations can transform the entire quilt.

This retreat is designed for quilters who love experimentation, modern aesthetics, and hands‑on learning. Whether you’re new to FPP or already obsessed, you’ll leave with a strong understanding of Giuseppe’s process, a collection of one‑of‑a‑kind blocks, and the confidence to continue building your Cornichon quilt long after the retreat ends.

About Giuseppe Ribaudo
Giuseppe — known worldwide as Giucy Giuce — is a modern quilter, fabric designer, and educator celebrated for his bold use of color, texture, and storytelling. Raised on Long Island in a Sicilian‑American family, he learned to sew from his grandmother, a talented seamstress who sparked his lifelong love of textiles.

After discovering quilting in college, Giuseppe quickly became a vibrant voice in the modern quilting community. His career has included roles in marketing and multimedia at Andover Fabrics before shifting his focus fully to fabric design, pattern writing, and teaching. His collections — including Quantum, Nonna, and the Gnarls Hollow Trilogy — reflect his deep love of color, memory, and narrative.

Now based in Portland, Maine, Giuseppe continues to design, lecture, and teach around the world, inspiring quilters with his signature style and infectious enthusiasm.
