We’ll explore essential knitting skills, compare different methods, and discuss when and why you might choose one technique over another. Topics include:
Understanding English, Continental, and combination knitting styles
Several useful cast-on methods and when to use them
Common increase and decrease techniques and the effects they create
Reading your knitting and recognizing mistakes
Picking up stitches
Basic finishing techniques, including seaming and sweater assembly
By the end of class, you’ll have a stronger grasp of knitting fundamentals and the confidence to take on more complex projects.
