About This Class
Pack your bags — this summer young sewists are going places! In this fun and creative 3‑day camp, kids will learn real sewing skills while crafting a full set of travel‑inspired projects to take home and treasure. Whether they’re brand‑new to sewing or building on what they already know, campers will gain confidence, independence, and hands‑on experience with every stitch.
What We’ll Cover
Campers will cut, pin, and sew their way through three exciting projects designed for adventures near and far. By the end of camp, each student will have a complete handmade travel kit — and the skills to keep creating long after camp ends.
- A cozy blanket that converts into a pillow — perfect for road trips or flights
- A personalized luggage tag so their bag stands out in any crowd
- A reusable snack bag to keep them fueled for every adventure

Materials Included
- Patterns and instructions for all camp projects
- Stabilizer
- PUL for two snack‑size bags
- Vinyl for luggage tag
- Camp binder for patterns/instructions

- Hand needles and embroidery thread
- Cutting and measuring tools
- Marking tools
- Classroom sewing machines available if needed

Timing may vary slightly depending on student needs.
Class Cancellation Policy: To receive a refund or credit for a class, cancellation must occur 7 days prior to class date.
Help us keep this class on the calendar!
This class needs a minimum of 3 students to run. If we’re below that number one week before class, the session may be cancelled.

Sonia is an avid sewist with a passion for teaching young makers. She brings patience, encouragement, and a love of creative exploration to every class — helping kids build skills, confidence, and pride in their handmade projects.
