Our book this year encourages--but not requires!--us to try new methods and learn techniques that'll guide us to success. Lori and several guest instructors will cover a new technique each month.

Join our inclusive, social, creative community. We are -- and we welcome -- all skill levels.

So go ahead -- Bust your Stash with us in 2025!

More about Stash Busters 2025:

Stash Busters 2025 is part skill-building, part exploring color/value, and part sharing tips and ideas.

Work at your own pace or follow the class outline (see below).

Come get out of your comfort zone . . . but only in ways you want to. No stress allowed!

If you want input on your project, we'll help you make it in your own style and color scheme. Give it the vibe you're looking for!

Some Stash Busters attendees bring their machine and supplies to sew after the technique discussion and (optional) Show and Tell. Other members bring just their fabric and cutting tools -- along with ziploc bags -- to plan, cut, and organize their fabric to sew later at home. You do you!

Our class book offers patterns for 100 blocks using a variety of techniques, along with excellent tips and illustrations. The author chose a more vintage vibe for her sampler quilt. What will you choose?

Pictured below are Alice's Wonderland blocks made from various fabric collections at Quilting Mayhem. These are examples. You do you!

"Grand Haven" by Minick & Simpson for Moda Fabrics:

"Laguna Sunrise" by Sherri & Chelsi:

"A Walk on the Prairie" by Melissa Gilbert for Modern Prairie:

What's in YOUR fabric stash?
What are you itching to work with?
Will you use a tried-and-true colorway?
Something that matches your home decor?
Challenge yourself to try a new color combination?
Maybe it will evolve as you make your blocks. This happens more often than you think!

We can't wait to see what you'll create!

Email Lori@QuiltingMayhem.com if you have questions. Remember, you can join any time during the year.

Instructor Bio: While she was quite pregnant with her first, and living in a shed while building her dream home, Lori took up quilting. A nesting instinct, perhaps?! Thirty years later, she's still quilting, sewing, and machine embroidering with friends and students across the continent. Join her at Quilting Mayhem the second Saturday of the month for Stash Busters.
