Pro-Stitcher Lab at Quilting Mayhem
This four-part lab series will help you confidently maneuver your way through the Pro-Stitcher System.
These labs are designed to help new or newish owners become familiar with the hardware and software of their machines, and to develop a good foundation and the vocabulary needed to get creative!
Come join our Pro-Stitcher expert Marla Simms. Learn to use your Pro-Stitcher more fully--and get questions answered if you are stuck or need a boost.
Marla's goal is for students to enjoy filling spaces on a quilt in an artistic way with electronic choices. She will help you get past being afraid to push buttons or being hesitant to try new things because you don't know what you don't know!
You will learn about all the tabs in your system and the features in each tab. You will also learn about the gears that engage, what the buttons do and their capacity, and get a great overview of the program as well.
This is a skill-building class and at times hands on. You will have practical homework to complete on your own Pro-Stitcher system and longarm between classes. In class you will review the homework and get your questions resolved. Marla envisions students' questions feeding the group and in part helping to guide the class although there is also a specific curriculum the course will follow.
Here are just a few of the topics Marla will cover:
How to use each tab and its features:
File tab, edit tab, area tab, modify tab, repeat tab, view tab, Pro-Stitcher tab
How to set up E2E (edge to edge quilting: one design repeated horizontally and vertically over the whole quilt)
How to advance a quilt using Drag & Drop
How to skew a design into a specific area
How to crop a design
How to find your place to start quilting after a shut down
How to save a design
How to buy a design online and transfer it to your tablet to start stitching
