Kaffe at Mayhem--Succulent Hexagons Workshop
In this workshop, Kaffe has taken a traditional snowball and made it fabulous simply by the use of color.
Kaffe and Brandon will teach and mentor each participant’s own personal color journey through fabric choice and placement. You’ll follow the same process of choosing fabrics as Kaffe and Brandon do when they are designing and working on a flannel design wall. And you can take home your design wall at the end of the day with your soon-to-be masterpiece!
Lunch and beverages are included in the workshop. Also included are the Succulent Hexagon Combo Acrylic Templates you'll need and the brand-new book, Quilts by the Sea.
This workshop is suitable for the beginner (must have rotary cutting skills) and the advanced quilt maker. The only requirement is an eagerness to explore color.
You may bring your own Kaffe fabric or plan to shop with Kaffe’s advice. If you bring your own, please bring ¼ to ½ yard cuts of 20 or so different large-scale fabrics in the color story of your choice. For the points, you may wish to wait and purchase fabrics at the workshop after you have set up your hexagons. The quilt is more successful if the points' colorway is different than your hexagon color way. The points create a frame and set off the hexagons.
If you are not sure about fabric, no worries! Bring your stash favorites and be prepared to shop with Kaffe and Brandon during the workshop.
