Instructor: Cole Whitaker, QuiltCon 2024 Award Winner
Instructor Bio: Cole Whitaker has been drawing and sewing clothing and quilts since he was a child but, unfortunately, he left behind most of these hobbies when he started a career as a cosmetology teacher. He later studied art at Cornish College of the Arts and worked as a graphic designer and photographer. A few years ago, Cole took a step back to take care of his health. During that time of healing, he has worked on his M.S. in psychology. He also returned to his quilting roots, which has been very therapeutic for him. Cole is excited to teach quilting, including pixel quilts, designing a FPP pattern from a picture, and free-motion quilting on the longarm and domestic machine. He currently designs custom quilts and is a custom longarmer.
