Bring your sewing machine and get ready to go on a Mayhem-exclusive educational adventure with Giuseppe Ribaudo of Giucy Giuce!

Join Giucy Giuce as he takes you on a quilting journey designed exclusively for Quilting Mayhem! Be the first to make the brand new Celestia quilt, designed to refine some classic techniques and introduce other piecing methods that may be brand new to you.

Over the course of four days we will tackle this new-meets-old design. We'll ease into this project with batch HSTs and 4-at-a-time flying geese before diving into more complex techniques like modular foundation paper piecing and inset circles. We'll refine tried-and-true techniques and learn new ones as well in this workshop designed to challenge but invigorate your sewing technique. We will also play with value and monochromatic color to create a stunning quilt you will cherish for years to come.  

ITINERARY:

• Day 1: Color info/fabric selection/3" HSTs
• Day 2: 3"x6" Flying Geese 
• Day 3: Lunar blocks/Center block
• Day 4: Inset Circles/Quilt Assembly

We know you want to pre-select fabric but because you are learning about how to choose fabric colors for your project, your choices might change. You can bring fabrics you want to use but be prepared to be open to new color options and expand your normal palette you work with. Fat-quarter starter bundles will be available to help get you going on your project. There will be "playtime" with Giuseppe on the fabric sales floor where everyone will get to play with fabrics they brought or are in the store (or both) to learn how to combine colors, textures, and prints into their project. 

This event includes meals, snacks, and beverages, as well as a special edition Giucy Giuce and Quilting Mayhem collaboration T-shirt made only for this event. Even more good news: Quilting Mayhem is paying the pattern and template fees for you! You will also receive an event discount on your purchases during the event.

Cancelation Policy for this event:

Cancel with full refund up to 30 days before the event. You will receive a 50% refund if you cancel 15 to 30 days before the event. If you cancel less than 15 days before the event, there is no refund unless you find your own replacement. If you need to cancel, please email info@quiltingmayhem.com. Please, no phone calls.
