Snappy Eyeglasses Cases

Remember snap purses from your childhood? They’re not just for lunch money anymore! In this fun and fast-paced class, you will create not one, but TWO snappy and stylish quilted eyeglasses cases using a fast and intuitive quilt-as-you-go method. Make one for you, and one for a friend!  David will show you how to turn ordinary retractable measuring tape into the closure mechanism. We will also explore color choice and composition for an effective and attractive result. This is a great way to use those really special fat quarters, or even silks and brocades as long as they are at least 10” wide. A fully detailed pattern will be provided in class, so you can make snappy cases for all your family and friends. The pattern is easily adaptable to other sizes: make a snap purse for your scissors, pens, or other sewing tools.
