Each month we dedicate one of our Open Sew Days to an organization within our community. It is important to everyone at Quilting Mayhem to take time to give back to our community, even in the smallest and simplest of ways. Sitting fees from this Community Open Sew will be donated directly to the organization selected for that month.
October: If you are involved with our Snohomish Modern Quilt Guild, then you’ve already heard of the work done for Dawson Place by many ladies who work at or frequent the shop. If you aren’t familiar Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center, it is a single location that provides ALL the core services needed by child victims of physical or sexual abuse so that families only have to go to one place to receive everything they need to be safe, to seek justice, and to heal. This month our Community Open Sew sitting fee will be donated directly to Dawson Place. If you wish to help with making quilts to be donated to the children of Dawson Place, please contact the Snohomish Modern Quilt Guild here.
